Tan songyung singer Tan sings ‘Happy Birthday’ to Kim Jong Un

A South Korean singer is reportedly happy to be seen with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.

Song Yoon-hyun, who has performed at public events with the North Korean dictator, was photographed last week posing with Kim and the pair were seen posing together at a birthday party at the country’s main stadium on Sunday.

“I feel very happy to see Kim Jong Nam, I love Kim Jong Il and Kim Jong Suk, but I’m proud of my country and the people,” Song told reporters.

“It’s a new day for South Korea.”

Song also thanked Kim for his “love” and “kindness” for the past five years.

“We are all grateful to Kim for five years of hard work,” Song said.

“Kim Jong Nam was born in 1994, and I’m really happy to have met him.”

He also thanked North Korean people for their support.

“This is not the first time we have seen the Korean People’s Army (KPA) and the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) in one another’s company,” Song added.

“I believe the people of South Korea are proud to have our country and people in such close contact.”

South Korea has long been concerned about the potential for North Korea to attack the South, but Pyongyang has been largely restrained since its leader last visited the country in December.

The new birthday celebration was the second in the past few weeks for Song, who is also known for his music videos.

Song’s first performance in South Korea in December 2015 drew hundreds of thousands of people.

He has performed with North Korea’s ruling Workers’ Party, the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reported at the time.

The country’s leader Kim has not publicly commented on the latest birthday celebration.

North Korea has not commented on Song’s birthday.
